Day 02: Wiesbaden – Ober-Hilbersheim

In the morning, Wolle spends quite some time engaged in a lively conversation with the two recumbent cyclists, Birgit and Eric, from the Netherlands.

A meeting with Gudu at her eldest sister’s retirement home in Mainz. After the visit, Gudu and Wolle drive via Bingen to Ober-Hilbersheim, heading for the Schmitt family’s winery.

Wolle spends the night in a tent beneath the walnut tree by the pond on the spacious property. It turns out to be a somewhat restless night, accompanied by a violent thunderstorm – though the lightning strikes elsewhere.
